For many of us, life has caused us to adapt, and like chameleons, we have. The issue now is that we don’t know what our original color is.
We have become who we believed we are, and that is often the problem with identity.

You learned early on to be who you needed to be to survive and succeed. Your circumstances might have been:

demanding parents even as a small child
being accepted on the playground
maintaining "in" status among classmates - (because you saw what it was like to not be in.)
pressure to be the best athlete
whatever you needed to do to feel loved.

Finding Identity is here to help

During the Finding Identity Interactive Webinar we are going to help you uncover the ways in which life has caused you to live outside of your identity as a dearly loved son or daughter of God.

We have changed our color so much from what we originally were we end up with a false sense of self in order to be who we think we should be. We live in dissonance because what we feel doesn’t line up with what it expected of us, so we push our feelings down to maintain the facade.

If we are fortunate, our negative habits are only somewhat harmful to ourselves and others: deflecting blame, having to be right, or seeking attention.

Many times we aren’t so fortunate, and our habits become more destructive to our relationships: drug, alcohol, or sexual addictions or manipulating and controlling others to get our needs met.

The way to freedom is to allow God to help us see these things. To allow God to begin to touch the pain and walk us into who He created us to be.

The humility, honesty, transparency and listening skills of the leaders were key to helping others to open up and share their experiences. I also appreciated the encouragement to not to try to fix others, as this freed me up more to receive myself.

So what exactly is our upcoming Finding Identity Interactive Webinar? Why is it interactive? Click on the video to find out.

The short story is we not only have worship, teaching and an active chat section going on throughout, but we have small groups also!

Living in the false self leads to performance which might lead to "atta-boys" but not affirmation.

Who are you as a child of God? As a spouse? A friend? A parent?

This sounds very simplistic but many of us struggle with this. We often strive to believe the right things and do the right things in order to gain acceptance. Sometimes we aren't sure who we would be without all of those things.

The problem is that we can never perform well enough. There will never be peace in that kind of striving. There will never be true affirmation in performance. Oh, sure, there might be the occasional accolade, but when that fades what happens?

Or, what happens when we get it wrong; when we fail? Is failure a learning tool or is it a sign that we are failures?

In this four-night interactive webinar of teaching and ministry we will go beneath the performance, false self, and striving and reveal who you were created to be as a son or daughter of God.

We open each session with worship.
We offer teaching sessions of about 45 minutes to bring you closer to God and bring deeper understanding.
We share with you some ways you can learn more about each subject

and press in deeper into gaining freedom.

After each teaching, a limited number of participants (who register for a limited number of openings) will join smaller breakthrough groups for approximately an hour.

Gain understanding and revelation of:

Who God really is and how His love can change us
What are the issues that lead us to orphan thinking
How pain becomes our identity and how to come back
How we label ourselves and walk through unmasking these labels for what they are

Experience freedom in these areas by joining virtual Breakthrough Groups!

BREAKTHROUGH GROUPS are safe places facilitated by experienced leaders to help you find breakthrough in your heart and soul. Each group will have four participants and one or two facilitators.

We facilitate and welcome Holy Spirit to lead us to areas God wants to touch.
We provide a place to help you discover where your strongholds came from.
The groups are safe places with strong boundaries to help you open up and share without any judgement or shame, and the courage to be open to receive healing and comfort in the place of your pain.
You will be asked to try and be in touch with your heart. We realize that is not easy for everyone but we will stick with you!
No one will try to fix you. We are supporting each other in what God is doing in you.
