Our response to conflict in our present relationships often dictates our future relationships. We can still spend our lives battling oppressions from hurt even after we have forgiven the person who hurt us. Forgiveness with healing, and forgiveness with trust are two different things. In our minds, the other person may be 98% wrong while we are only 2% wrong, but we are 100% responsible to bring closure to our 2%. Our failure to do so can result in patterns of blame-shifting, fault-finding, isolation and independence in our relationships. Soon we begin to view every relationships as a potential threat. This teaching is perhaps the most life changing revelation that Jack shares. You do not need a warm emotional response to see your relationships transformed, only begin to walk out the practical principles that are clearly outlined in, "Would You Rather Be Right or Have Relationship?".
