This is Sarah’s very personal testimony of the years following her father’s untimely death and how it broke her relationships with her Heavenly Father and the people she trusted. It navigates Sarah’s poor response when they disappointed and even abandoned her. Our response to conflict in our present relationships often dictates our future relationships.
We can spend our lives battling oppression from hurt and disappointment even after we have tried to forgive. Forgiveness with healing, and forgiveness with trust are two different things. In our minds, the other person may be 98% wrong while we are only 2% wrong, but we are 100% responsible to bring closure to our 2%. Our failure to do so can result in patterns of blameshifting, fault-finding, isolation and independence leaving us as orphans alone in the world. This message discusses how Sarah began to overcome extreme obstacles to renew her relationship with the Lord and her family.
